Robert Valk
Managing director

As the director of VRD, Robert has worked for almost 40 years in the industry by drafting and designing in Canberra and the surrounding regions.

He started designing ships, then drawing renovations for friends and family, then started VR Drafting Services in 1980 which is now VRD design.

Rob has 3 children who have their own businesses and his wife Deb helps with the bookkeeping in the office.

Matthew Lippiatt-sidman
Registered ArchitecT NUMBER #2497.

Matthew Graduated from the University of Canberra in 2008 with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Architecture and a Masters of Architecture.

Matt has been a part of VRD Design for 12 years, designing in Canberra and the surrounding region.

Matt has two beautiful children, one boy and one girl, 2 Labradors and he has designed his own home.

Timothy Kneebone
Graduate Architect

Tim graduated from the University of Canberra in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and a Masters of Architecture. Tim was a building surveyor’s chainman for 5 years prior to joining VRD Design.

Tim has now been with VRD Design working alongside Matt for the past 3 years.
